December 2017 - STSA publishes a step-by-step guide for small trading companies under FMIA/FinfraG
Small trading companies seeking clarity on the steps that they need to take in order to comply with the Swiss legislation on derivatives trading now have a new resource at their disposal.
Elaborated with expert input from STSA members, the document, entitled "Step-by-step guide for small trading companies under FMIA/FinfraG" details the key operational actions that companies should carry out.
With the decision of regulator FINMA to postpone the mandatory reporting of trades for small companies (qualifying as "small non-financial companies") into 2019 trading firms have additional time to prepare for full implementation and can concentrate on documentation and risk reduction requirements.
